BEI Architects & Engineers, Inc. completed this project, Funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce (Economic Development Act of 1965), State of Michigan and private sources. The project, which included architectural and all engineering disciplines, involved the renovation of approximately 12,000 square feet of the C.S. Mott Engineering and Science Building. The project consisted of development of company offices on the 2nd floor and staff offices, fuel cell test laboratories with a teaching studio, work areas and development company display and demonstration space.

BEI also provided conceptual design and estimating services related to the development of a research building in Kettering University's future research park. The proposed site of the Research Park is the former site of an automotive manufacturing plant, now demolished with floor slab and foundations remaining. The proposed building was a single story 20,000 square foot facility.
